Future Projects for Kerala

The state in these years has changed a lot. The God's Country's landscape and the climate has also changed unpredictably. The youth is looking for fast money and are least bothered about the rightfulness of their approach.

Keralam must take take up the following projects:

  1. Waste Management & recycling of non-degradable wastes
  2. Restrict unplanned constructions and developments that upset the Eco-system
  3. Encourage agriculture to make the state self-sufficient in food
  4. Development of roads; acquire land to double the width.
  5. Plan state as a Tourism, Health and Education hub
Land is for meeting man's basic needs: Food, water and Shelter. The land should not seen just as a commodity for trade. We must not forget that during mullaperiyar issue, Tamil Nadu blocked the passage of vegetables to Kerala and the prices almost doubled.
Another burning issue is, with five lakh vehicles hitting the road every year, roads in the state are insufficient to contain them. In next five years, all roads(rural and urban) should be broadened. The govt should start acquiring the sides giving sufficient compensation to land owners before it is too late.Every day new constructions and multi-storied buildings are popping up.Hence govt should act before it is too late and costly.

What is most important for Kerala?

Let us have a look at the most severe problems  faced by Kerala. Many say it is unemployment. But the sight of Beharis and Bengalis in Perumbavoor and other smaller town in Kerala tells us someother story. Lakhs of such day laborers are working in Kerala and are earning about Rs.400 to 1000/- per day.
So certainly unemployment is not all a issue in Kerala.

What to be changed is our attitude.

Hartal Vs Bandh?

What is the difference between Hartal and Bandh?

Kerala High Court has banned Bandh in the State. Since then there are frequent hartals in the State.

However, all hartals in Kerala is more intense than a Bandh.
The public is hence unable to figure out the difference between Hartals and Bandhs.

Let us try to differentiate the two ( a wish):

Bandh

  • declared on short notices
  • should be declared to defeat only external forces.( Mahatma Gandhi introduced and used bandhs to expel  foreigners. ).

Hartals
  • Are declared in advance, with a notice period of over 72 hours.
  • No forceful shutdown of shops, industries...

River Protectors or Destroyers???

These Rivers are here for hundreds of years.
And now what Man is doing by constructing a retaining wall?
Is he trying to protect the river?
By constructing the retaining wall the river is converted as a Canal, it is no longer a RIVER.

If he really want to save river, let him stop river mining.

Live and Let Live

Man in his quest for profit and money is disturbing the nature and its living beings even in the wild. Constructions, Mobile tower radiations etc are fast making several creatures obselete from the face of the world. Laws must be refined such that no real estate business mafia can destroy the Earth and environment. The land should be sold and purchased from and through the govt only. I wish India Govt adopts such a new law.

Real Estate OR for Cultivation and Survival?

Kerala is known as GOD's own country. But today, nothing is happening as we dream or wish the thing to be. The rivers, hills, valleys and small lakes are fast disappearing from the land of Kerala. Land is not seen as means for cultivation, but is seen as a mere object or entity for trading(Real Estate business). Atleast now we must sit and look back, is it right we are doing ? The land nature is to be preserved for the future generations to see. Must love earth and land must be used only for cultivation and thus survival of all beings on earth. It must not be traded for few fast bucks. Its like killing the duck laying golden egg.

Emerging Kerala

With NO trees,hills and valleys

Kerala is emerging as a Arabian  DESERT !!!!
Stop harassing the Earth…

Earth is not ours, nature is something to be preserved for the future generation.
